On Saturday I had the privelege of attending the Ohio State football game with my family. Now that's a cohesive community. We could learn a few things from them. Consider this:
The coaching staff as the city council and administration.
The players as the city departments, schools, businesses.
The fans as the citizens.
Have you been to one of those home games? Everyone understands their role in helping the team win. When the players on the field motion to the fans - they respond and the noise is unbelievable. They understand their role in helping the team win the game.
Of course the players and the coaching staff understand their roles. Add in the band and the cheerleaders and you have a number of different groups contributing to one GOAL. It was beautiful to witness. And I saw so many parallels to our city and the cohesiveness I speak about.
When we all are working together and understanding how important we are to the outcome, we'll be winning.
